Paper Model of Working space with X-Form Spans Folding Technique 1:20   Cardboard Model of Working Space 1:20 It was an interesting experiment constructing two of the same room one, one in paper and the other using cardboard. While the paper was very easy to measure out and cut, I personally found working with the cardboard was overall much easier as the rigidness of the material helped me to construct the desired form with strength and ease of gluing.

  For this model, I wanted to venture away from the real world and create a dream-like sort of experience, still in relation to the basis of the whole assessment, my working space. By exploring different shapes and forms, it becomes symbolic of the creativity and making present within this at-home space, therefore this model creates a virtual walk through of this concept. Model making and Further Lighting Experimentation

I found this model making task very useful in being able to communicate my idea about contrast of light and dark by using materials like balsa and baking paper as well as photographing my work in black and white to further enhance the contrast (This model is in 1:50 scale). This was also a good model to experiment with on Photoshop because, similar to the last model, I was able to see the model as a real life structure. I wanted to utilise quite natural materials for my rendering as this is what I feel i am most connected to.
